I am 31 weeks and 1 day pregnant. I have been very uncomfortable, and they have had me on steriods for 2 months now. Upon examination today the practioner said I was at 2.

It depends on the person. I went from 2 cm to 10 cm in like 45 minutes. Now other people have gone days and even a few weeks to progress much.

I don't think there's any typical time frame. For me, I was dialated to a 1 to 1+ for at least two months. Then I was a 2 for a week, a 3 for a week, and then had my baby. So that's... 2 1/2 months from first starting to dialate.
Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy/delivery/baby/etc. They're truly awesome, these kids. :)

It could go fast, it could go slow. I didn't have any dialation until my due date and then only a 1. That night I went from a 3 to a 10 in a manner or 6 hours. It's hard to say what will happen for you.

It really does vary. As long as your water doesnt break and your not having contractions, I'd say you were ok. I walked around 3 cm dialated and about 50% effaced for a week before I finally went into labor.

It depends on the person. When I measured two it took a few days. When my daughter measured at two it took her 2 weeks.

i have was at a 2 for 3wks now im at a 3 and still no baby but everyone is different
