Works just as well as voodoo... if you believe it works, it works.

I do believe it works, but not the way some people think. Every have a daydream? Ever drive down the road and your mind drifts to thoughts of something only to realize you missed your turn? Then, you've been in a hypnotic trance.
If you'd like to experience it without finding a hypnotist or for more information check out: wendi.com

It can work, on an irregular basis. That's the thing though--it's really low-percentage in the classical sense of the word, in terms of suggesting random things to random people. Where it gets interesting, though, is when you find someone who *wants to* go under for a reason. All hypnosis is self-hypnosis, you see--the person going under has to *Consent to* what's going on. They have to say "yes" to the idea of it. If they are dead-set against the things you suggest, trance won't take, suggestions won't stick. If they are dead-set against the *idea* of going under at all, ever, period, *nothing works*. In that case you're back to using more ordinary means of persuasion--earning trust and making your ideas more *logical and sensible*. This is the way it should be, by the way. There is no Jedi Mind Trick, and truth be told, hypnosis doesn't do so well on "weak minds". You can only do so much if people don't understand what you're doing. It actually takes an intelligent, disciplined and *Focused* mind to both give someone your attention and go under (on the one hand), and still have something left (on the other) to pay attention to the suggestions with. But yeah. There is no Jedi Mind Trick. You can't, generally speaking, force a hypnotic trance on someone unless you *cheat* and damage their health. There are ways to do that but they run closer to torture than willing, healthy hypnosis, and can get you locked up in *prison* if you aren't *very* careful with it. For the rest of us, people have to say "Yes" to the idea of it. They have to accept the idea of going under, and the suggestions have to be something the subject *Wants* at some level. Just my experience.

You know what I don't believe that hynosis works either. I went to a so-called hypnotist a while back when I was trying to lose weight and nothing came of it. It was just a scam that they were making money from as far as I am concerned.
