Before the spread of AIDS dentists didn't feel it necessary to wear gloves to protect themselves from the spread of blood bourne diseases. Instead they just washed their hands.

No i don't remember that far back. I'm only 26 and they always had gloves on when I went to the dentist. That had to be nasty though. Well I guess back then the world didn't worry about aids and stuff like today. Did his hands taste like soap?

I am 33 and when I was a kid the dentist did not wear gloves or a mask. I remember when he started I thought the taste of the latex was gross but now the thought of someone sticking his hands in your mouth without gloves is really gross.

I'm 36 and I remember too. To think back on it now makes me feel ill. When I was a kid, we had a dentist who worked in our mouths, stopped to smoke his cigarette then leaned back over to us to finish our work. That's so gross to think about now.

I don't ever remember that but I'm only 18. That sounds pretty strange but I believe you though.

Yes, I do, but the human race was not so vile and filthy at that time, so you didn't have to worry. You can thank liberals for the deterioration.
