I would have to call it a tie.

The Three Mile Island accident unfolded over the course of five tense days, as a number of agencies at the federal, state, and local level attempted to diagnose the problem and decide whether or not the on-going accident required a full evacuation of the population. The full details of the accident were not discovered until much later. In the end, the reactor was brought under control. No identifiable injuries due to radiation occurred, a government report concluded that "the projected number of excess fatal cancers due to the accident ... is approximately one",

On July 18, 1969, Kennedy attended a party on Chappaquiddick, Martha's Vineyard, which was intended to be a reunion of those who had worked on his brother Robert's 1968 presidential campaign. Kennedy drove away with party guest Mary Jo Kopechne as a passenger in his 1967 Oldsmobile Delmont 88. According to Kennedy, he made a wrong turn onto an unlit road that led to Dike Bridge (also spelled Dyke Bridge), a wooden bridge angled obliquely to the road with no guardrail, and drove over its side. The car plunged into tide-swept Poucha Pond (at that location a channel) and came to rest upside down underwater. Kennedy was able to swim free of the vehicle, but passenger Kopechne was not. He then walked away from the accident and his dead guest. Kennedy discussed the accident with several people, including his lawyer and Kopechne's parents, before he contacted the police more than 10 hours after the accident. The incident quickly became a scandal. Kennedy was criticized for allegedly driving drunk, for failing to save Kopechne, for failing to summon help immediately, and for contacting not the police but rather his lawyer first. Kennedy entered a plea of guilty to a charge of leaving the scene of an accident after causing injury. He received a sentence of two months in jail, which was suspended.

None, I stay 5 miles from TMI and lived for the duration of the coincidence. there became right into a partial meltdown in spite of the undeniable fact that it became into contained interior the containment construction. Small levels of radiation have been released after a hydrogen explosion yet each and all the study mentioned that there became into no influence on the familiar public. there became into no evacuation, aside from pregnant women folk who have been informed to bypass away the area. administration of the plant became into regained an expected half-hour earlier an entire meltdown might have taken place. There are 2 reactors on the island and the single that became into interior the coincidence became into by no ability used lower back however the different one is getting used to in the present day, after many enhancements.

I'd have to give the prize to Tedward Kennedy.

There's probably more people on the bottom of Chappaquidick than we'd like to think.
