Feelings are what are inside. Emotion happens when you express these feelings.

very good question let me try is this an emotion or feeling?

well i can say emotions and feeling are embedded together.
feelings are things of superficial nature say for example a am walking on wall mart as i see ice cream i feel to have one. or when you see a old class mate not a close one just normal you feel good
on other hand when you see a relative or colleague who have given you some very hard time your emotions emerge and you start to feel the pain
emotions are mostly associated with past memories i say mostly ,but one who sees a very tragic accident will be emotionally disturb even having no relationship with the Sean.

And to sum up emotions are attributed to our mind witch are quite subtle feelings but quite potent.
while feelings are nothing but emotions only but they are manifestations of emotions but on very physical level.
