I've had the same best friend for 32 years...we met in the fifth grade when we were 10. We have been through everything together, including marriages...kids...divorces...and the trials of life. I would be lost without her. In the 32 years, we have never said a cross word to each other, and I trust her with anything. We have secrets that only each other know about, and she is more of a sister to me than my real sister. To my kids she is their aunt, and I'm the same to hers. She got me a gift one time, she was have a really hard time with her daughter, who was 15 at the time, and I took her home with me to give them a break, the gift was a bear, and on the bears shirt it said..." we will always be best friends...you know too much"......so true !!!!!!
I hope you find your true friend...the one who is your other half..that will tell you when your messing up and still be your biggest fan.

You can always use more friends! I completely agree with you on the "They usually do something behind my back to hurt my feelings..." thing because that's what has happend to me. Truth be told my best friend is actually someone I met online over three years ago now. We talk online and talk on the phone all the time. We've been there for each other in goodtimes and in bad.
Not everyone gets a chance for the to happen so I concider myself lucky. I guess aside from my best that I met online. The only other person who has been my best through all the years is my dad. He's not like a regular dad... He's my best friend when I'm, when I'm down, when I need a laugh or he needs a laugh. If he needs to talk or if I need to talk we're there for each other.

I have always just kept a few close friends, and then a lot of acquaintances - you know, the type that you invite to the parties, but that you don't really hang out with all the time.
It's hard to keep a permanent Best friend, because we are always changing so much

Yes i have a best friend. Through the years we have each done things that have hurt each other but we have always been able to work them out. All relationships go through rough times, it doesn't matter who it is. Mother and child, brother and sister, or friends. She and I have been friends for 21 years and counting.

My best friend is my mother. Most friends come and go and the ones who stick around might not be all that great. Its human nature to hurt sometimes. I suggest you avoid 'best' friends and just have a few good/close ones.

i have a best friend. shes great! we just spent the summer in new zealand and australia and it was awesome! however, i do understand what you mean. i think if you just be yourself, then someday someone will come to you. dont worry too much about it. especially if you are young, because in high school especially is when people are really mean and dont really know what they are doing. just be yourself, im sure you'll find a friend! good luck!

nope I'm in the same boat as you mama all my "best friends" either slept with my man stole things from my house and later admitted to it or talked trash behind my back... my conclusion: you don't need friends if you keep having to hear sorry i didn't mean to from them. So.... yea lol sure ill be ur on-line buddy!
