High cheekbones have always given the appearance of wealth or status. The reason dates bak to the early 1700's when women were known to turn up their noses and suck in their cheekbones at servants or paupers. Cheekbones have since always remained a sign of maturity, fortuituousness, and status.

High cheek bones makes one look younger . and fuller. It doesn't create that sucked in look post weight loss. It accentuates the bone structure of the face.

I think that it is a proportion thing. On some people high cheek bones make them look gaunt.

They look a lot better than a big fat face which usually means the rest of the person is overweight

i think its just the shape of a persons face... they look smiley,elegant and streamlined. Like a full round really fat face...you cant see the cheeckbones sometimes and the face has no contours...bones and chins and soon..they add shape to your face and sometimes...it's pretty.
