Because Bush and Co. had a hard on for attacking Iraq. Don't know why exactly, unless it was the failed attempt to gain control of the oil supplies, or maybe to make it easier for Israel to expand from the Jordan to the Tigris and Euphrates (the goal of the Zionist movement).

Don't know why they ignored NK and Iran, the active threats.

Sounds like logic right? However we have a moron President who has no logic. Besides if we did what you want us to do then we would win the war on terrorism. And lets face it folks, Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, and the other inbred conservatives don't want to defeat terrorism. If that happens they can't use SCARE and FEAR to get Americans to slowly give up their freedoms and privacy's.

They can't slowly take away our liberty's under "national security". They can't use Bin Laden as their boogey man to SCARE people into their votes (this is being used as we speak). As long as we are at war, then big business like Cheney's haliburton and Bush's Carlyle Group can make big cash for Bush and Cheney. Also some of these Big Businesses gave out millions in campaign contributions to conservatives like Bush and Cheney. Once they got elected it was payback time, thus contracts in Iraq.

You see the purpose is to be at war, not win the war. As long as America is at a constant state of FEAR, SCARE, and war, a Police like state can take effect, Big Brother will be watching (remember national security aka patriot act), and corporations and politicians will profit.

Good night and Goodluck

There are only so many resources to go around.

In a time of massive waste and unprecedent deficit and debt, the country simply cannot afford to fight any more wars.
