I think they have to decide frm these players bcoz their performance are good.
Crickter of the year.....
Ponting, Dravid, Mohammad Yousuf, Ntini, Hussy and Muralitharan.
Test player of the year......
Yousuf, Ponting and Dravid
One day player of the year......
Hussey, Ponting, Yousuf, Shane Bond and Gilchrist.
Emerging player of the year....
Cook, Asif and Bell but I think Asif is the best for this Award.
And Dravid is the best Captain of the year with historic win over West Indies and recrod run chasing winning.

I´m shocked after Dhoni´s omission from the list. Only Hussey and Yuvraj scored runs on better average than Dhoni. In fact I thought that Dhoni will even be in the Final-Five (5) or he even could´ve got the award. I didn´t understood why Shahid Afridi is also nominated? Who has scored only 170+ runs and taken 13 wickets. Why Micheal Vaughan in the list? Even after playing only One (1) Test match? Now look: Why Yousuf in the ODI list? He didn´t even got the chance to perform in ODI´s. He was batting down the order and I think he has only 2 or 3 fifty+ runs in the whole Year. Why Pietersen in the list? After scoring just 400+ runs in ODI´s? Why Flintoff in the list? What has he done in ODI´s against India, Pakistan? Why Gibbs? Only because of One (1) innings; that he played against Australia? Why Jayawerdene? After scoring just Two (2) Centuries against England? If not Dhoni and Smith, then why Gilchrist? Why not Smith after a wonderful performance? Why Sangakkara in the Tests? What has he done? Why Shane Warne Cricketer of the Year? Even after not playing single ODI? Why Monty in the list of Cricketer of the Year? Even after not playing single ODI?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It´s all because of our greatest batsman "Sunil Gavaskar". And also the greatest pimp of all Englishmens. Stupid! Idiot! Jerk! Ullu Ka Pattah! Scum! Ashole!

I ask: How would Gavaskar know what is the taste of ODI´s match?!!!! The man who scored one & only 100 and that too in his second-last ODI-match. That too at home against Zew-Zealand.

And also the man who scored 36 not out on 176 balls in 202 runs defeat to England. Chasing 334 in 60 overs and letting his team score 132 runs for just Two (2) wickets. Click on the link below to see the scorecard.

I ask: How?!!!!!!!!!!!! Could that man be a chairman of selection-panel?!!!!!!!!!! HUH!!!!!!!!!

How could that man can say?!!!! That Dhoni was lost in the race to Gilchrist & Sangakkara because of his strike-rate?!!!!!!!!

It surprises m. Because there are others´ who were better batsmen than Gavaskar in ODI´s. Someone like: Viv Richards. And many others´.

ICC I will kill you!!!!!!!!!!!!! Take it as an warning!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just wanted to do a protest against him. So, I did it.

I hope that any Sikh who is deeply hurt by this decision of Gavaskar, will stab a Kirpaan (a special sword for Sikhs) in Gavaskar´s chest.

Don´t report-abuse please. Let me vent my anger.

Thanks!

And as far as awards are cencerned: I think that, as it is: Gavaskar is not anymore in the panel to select the Final-Five, then the Award for Player-of-the-Year should go to "Ricky Ponting. And for Test-Player-of-the-Year will be a tight contest. But it will either be Ricky Ponting or Mohammad Yousuf or maybe Matthew Hayden. ODI-Player-of-the-Year will be Yuvraj Singh or Ricky Ponting or Irfan Pathan, or who knows? Maybe Shane Bond. Emerging-Player will be Mohammad Asif Upul Tharanga or Alistair Cook. Captain should be Rahul Dravid. But if not him, then Ricky Ponting. Umpire should be Rudi Koertsen. But ICC will gift it to Simon Taufel.

Helloooooo. I´m a Cricket-lover. So, it has nothing to do with being Pakistan or not. And it also has nothing to do with being a fan of Indian-Cricket-team or not either.

I´m not saying that i´m against the Indians. No. Not at all. In fact who am I to say that I love this country and hate this one? If not the one who has created the World never differentiate between those thing, then who am I? Sun arises in India so in Pakistan & so in Africa as well. In fact in the whole World.

Hopfully you understood what I mean.
