I am about 30lbs "overwieght" medically speaking. For the most part, I like the way I look. i think women should be curvy,we were made to have curves. It is only in the last 50 years or so that society changed it's mind. Anyone else feel this way? I am not advocating morbid obesity, just a little padding.

I don't like my weight, but I'm working on it. I've been watching my calorie intake and also my fat intake, in addition to working out like crazy. I gave up smoking and drinking and I'm really starting to feel a lot better. I've lost 35 pounds in the last three months and I have another 15 to go to be at my ideal weight.

It has less to do with how satisfied you are with the way you look as it does with the way you live...being 30 pounds overweight puts a lot of strain on your heart and everything else...to demonstrate this, get hold of something that weighs 30 pounds and carry it around all day long.

As far as being curvy goes, I'd have to agree with you to an extent, however you have to make sure that it's not just a cop-out. When my wife works out and loses weight, she's still curvy, it's just that she's smaller, but the curves are still there in proportion to her new size and she's still beautiful and you will be too.

I agree with you all the way as far as how society has changed and women should be curvy. I am not overweight medically speaking but I still think I'm fat. There are very few women I know who like the way they look and I really is a shame.

Hi....you look great! Just for the record, i am 5'10" tall and weigh 205 pounds....I am a white Canadian guy, but by the standards i see, I am obese...Sorry...I don't think so...I can email anyone my picture if they ask....I wish I was closer to my weight when I was 30...but now I am 49 and have a waistline of 38 inches....but Obese? not my definition of obesity...lots of physically fit football players are 5'10" and 210 or more...certainly they are not OBESE! where do these standards come from?

Sorry Miss...but I don't want to see you when you have lost your 30 pounds...I rather think you might be unattractive to me....

I hear ya~

As long as you are healthy with you extra weight, there should be no problem.

A lil story for you-
my dtr started high school a few weeks ago.

Upon arriving at her very first class (Spanish), her teacher asked her to step up on the scale. She is a bit plump for her height.

She did! (No way I would have!) She told me it was OK because if was a metric scale and her number was low!

LOL

I Think its Gr8 that your happy with your weight.
Society Stinks these days you should feel comfortable with the way you look.
Most negativity about weight comes from celebrity.
Curves are well better then Being stick thin in my book.
And a little padding is Good

It's great to hear someone actually LIKE-ing their weight. I know my family is OBSESSED w/their weight and it's kinda annoying. I personally don't care. I am a smaller person, but still I could care less if I gained alotta weight or not. I eat what I want when I want. People tell me it's gonna catch up to me but ** O' F*n well ** ... Lol. A little padding looks great! It's just people always have that thought OH you gotta be SMALL to be PRETTY. NOT AT ALL. KEEP being proud of yourself and never put yourself down cuz of what others say! As long as you keep it BEAUTIFUL on the INSIDE! that's what really counts !!!!!!!!!!! :)

I agree with you. Women should be curvy. But not over weight. And society has changed it's mind. All the old paintings have women who have lots of curves. But to a certain extent. They are not real BIG you now. I am also over weight and trying to lose weight. I am doing this because of my health. That's very important.

i agree, when i was a little girl i was super skinny, no matter what i ate i could not gain any weight, so now that im older i have managed to gain extra pounds, i always wanted to be thick not fat so could fill in my jeans and not let them hang on me all loose like they r about 2 fall off.
