yes almost all pools are closed by then because of the night time temperature drop, if it's not a heated pool the water temperature will drop and no one would swim in it. plus fall the leaves get in it and the up keep is more costly.

Yes and I think it's dumb. The kids barely start, then they het a day off. doesn't make sense to me. settle them then day off. who knows.
