I really love them but I have never seem them live but I think that Steve Perry was what made Jourrney and I don't want to see another singer singing his songs. Does anyone have any news about them? Thanks.

If you ever get a chance check out their VH1 behind the music piece.
Those guys will NEVER get back together, SP has a bug about a lot of stuff and will never let it go.

I saw a documentary about Journey and when Steve Perry auditioned for the band, they didn't want him because he was a "ballad singer"! I was floored. I think his audition song was "When the Lights go Down in the City" (or whatever the title is). Well, they called him back and suddenly they were this huge sensation but eventually poor Steve just crashed and burned. He was most certainly a ballad singer and that is what gave Journey their unique sound but he was also in love with this woman and the band toured so much and he could not bring her along and the relationship fell apart. So, no, like David Lee Roth (but for entirely different reasons), Perry is over Journey. But I hear the replacement is kick ***!!!

OMG! Where do you people get your info? When Steve Perry left, it was because of extreme back pain and problems. He needed surgery, and would be away from the band for many months. They decided to call it quits, so that the band could move on without him.Right after this took place it was on T.V. with the band and Steve Perry talking about it!

Last thing that I heard Steve Perry will never be able to go back with Journey because of the stroke that he had.

Steve Perry's voice is completely shot. If he came back to Journey, they wouldn't be able to perform half of their old hits. Steve Augeri is pretty good, you should give him a chance. Arrival was an amazing album, and Generations has a few really good songs.

Probably not, but you can always hope! Journey has become a cover band! Living off of their old hits with a new second rate singer!!!!
