Depends on a couple of things: What type of covering you have, and avaerage type of weather. Most new roofs will last around 15 to 20 years. You can also get shingles that are guaranteed for up to 50 years. But they cost a lot more money than the 20 year brand. Stone overlapping tiles are another alternative. They will last a very long time if installed correctly, and there are no hurricanes/tornados in your near future.

A few things here that everyone is missing. Ventilation - If the roof or attic have proper air flow, ridge vent, canisters, etc. the roof will last 20 to thirty years. No ventilation and you can cut the life expectancy down in half. Shingles are rated 10 years to 50 years. Of course a 50 year shingle has not been around that long to see if it will last that long. LOL The principle goes on the thickness of the shingle itself on how long it will last. Hope I was some help

This depends on where you live. Generally, in southern California shingles rated as 20 years will last about 12 years on the south and west sides of a roof. Sunlight breaks them down that fast.

About 15 years depending on the weather, 20 to 25 if you have it coated every few years. If it is a flat roof

It really depends on the quality of workmanship, the type of shingles used, and the weather in your area. Most likely, you'll get at least another 30 years or so out of your roof.
