God no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It will get broken very fast. You need to have your fingers behind that plastic protection. The moment you cover the puck and someone slashes your glove you would have a shattered finger.

I played both sports and never left my finger outside the glove as a fielder or goalie. I saw no difference either way.

Baseball yes. Hockey no because if needed you can you use any part of the hands to block in certain situations. Say your lying on the ice face up and you see a puck floating above you. Your reaction is to throw a backhand at it. If your finger is out then your finger will be crushed.

It probably all depends upon what you are comfortable with. But I would highly recommend against doing that.

Remember - in baseball no one is going to swat your glove with a stick the second you catch the ball.
