I am 34 and am seriously thinking about getting a backpiece done...am I weird for waiting so long? I just never knew what I wanted before now...

I am 41 and I just got my first tattoo. Then I got another. Then I got another. You are a grown man. You can make better long term decisions than if you were in your twenties. You know what you want and what you can live with. Go for it. Enjoy your life. Tattoos are beautiful works of art. It was good that you waited so long. The artistic level of tattooing has increased dramatically with its growing popularity. Have fun.

I was 33 when I got my first one....go for it if that is what you want. It's good that you have taken so long to decide what you wanted to get done, otherwise you may have regretted an earlier choice. Make sure that it truly is the piece that you want tho. You're never too old for ink! I am in the process of drawing my next one b/c I can't find any flash that I like .....

I got my first at 18. My second at 21. But my hubby never got one until recently, and he's 34. So unless my hubby's weird, (which could be true) I think it's perfectly fine.
Besides, it's not something you should do on the spur of the moment anyway. It needs to be thought out--something you can't live without. I think it's good you waited.

I got my tattoo when i turned 18. because that is the age in PA that you can get one done without your parents signature...lol Its on my front shoulder. 5 hearts. there is nothing wrong with waiting. I'm 37 and I want one more of a lil unicorn. Not sure where I want it though.

No i dont have one but my friend does and she was only 14 ever one at my school between age 14 and 15 got a tatto over the summer and me and my friend got our belly perice and she said it hurt even more then the tattoo... so go for it i would but im not aloud yet...lol \

I was 19 when I got my first one... Im 32 now... No reason to think you are weird for waiting until now... better to wait and get what you want then to rush out and get something that you hate... not many people think this out...lol

I was 17. But you are not wierd. That's why I haven't gotten another. You should be absolutly sure what you want, and think about what it will look like when you're old and wrinkely

no I don't have one and I think they are ridiculous attention seekers that are only asking for infection. Sorry but you asked for an opinion and I just personally think they are trashy and I feel like by the way you worded your question you are mature enough to handle that and also mature enough to reconsider doing this.
