Like another answerer said, some women really do care about it, while others are fine making some money of their own.

As for myself, I think as long as a man is able to support himself, I wouldn't mind working to pick up extra slack... but if he was lazy and didn't do anything, that would bother me. (just as I think women who sit around doing nothing when they should get a job are lazy too)

I wouldn't say that. I know a lot of women love money. Some women can care less.

lol..it's a catch 22.. *especially* in this day and age! =T

sorry to say guys, but women are Taught nowadays that they might not have a hubby to depend on all the time..so we gotta go to college, get our degrees, and work our butts off *just in case* a guy's not there to take care of us!! and u know what that means?? =T...guys, your "role" in the relationship is getting taken over...by women! a guy's role is to be the Breadwinner, to Take care of the family monetarily, as well as by making good decisions. a woman needs to be able to trust that her husband will do what is best for the family.

so, now the expectations on a man, is even GREATER than it was before! u may find, that many women will NOT settle for a man, *just because* he does have a lot of money. and if she does, she's just doing what women are supposed to do, which is to find a man that she can depend on to take care of the family, monetarily wise...if she marries him just for the money, however, she may screw herself over if he is not a "good guy". therefore, these days, a man needs to take even MORE control over himself. he's gotta have a good career, and be even more astute in learning how to please a women, treat her right. back in the day, if a man had a good career, all the mom's would hook their daughters up w/ him in hopes that he would marry her off. now, all the mom's send their daughters to school, *in case* her husband turns out to be crappy, or she doesn't meet a good enough guy.

*so*, the moral of the story is, a woman needs to be strong in HER roles...nurturer, caretaker of the family, supporter of the husband..... a man needs to be strong in HIS roles...breadwinner, decision maker, head of the household... if these things are taken care of, and done well..regardless of how much money is made by either party, they will be able to respect and trust eachother. good luck to us all!! :)

I always feel that money should never be the only thing in a relationship. I have often done without any money.
If you make money the main part of your life then you will always be very lonely i think.

My wife doesn't care about money at all.

Now the things it can buy is an entirely different issue.

I guess that would depend on the woman. Some do care about it and some work and make their own.
