To say there are 'terrorists' is a misnomer and always has been. It's like saying there are 'hammerers' who use hammers and nobody else does or can.

Terrorism is a TACTIC. ANYBODY can use terrorism. There are no terrorists to watch! There is NO WAY to eliminate terrorists, and they are literally everywhere.

That's right, folks, there are plenty of terrorist groups that were founded and thrive in the U.S. of A. We don't have to traipse halfway across the world to find folks to kill. And somehow I think American terrorist groups are PROBABLY a little more dangerous to Americans than those that are halfway across the world. But maybe my logistics is off.

Absolutely yes: not just in your homeland, but elsewhere. If one group of terrorists get their way it fuels the ambitions of others to seek the same path to their goals. We are not just talking of Islamic Fundamentalists, this also applies to all Freedom Fighters aka terrorists. You cannot choose. Irish people living in America contributed vast sums of money to the Irish Republican Army who were in fact Terrorists with a capital T. Notwithstanding your point of view on Irish politics, the fact remains and the blood of many innocent people lies at their feet and the feet of those who made donations. Fact. It is the same with many such groups throughout the world. It is only due to Bin Laden having huge financial resources that he and his fighters can take terror to new heights. It is the same with Hezbollah and the financial resources available to them from other rich states in the area. Conclusion: No act of terror should be allowed to effect innocent people. No group should be financed overtly or covertly through slush funds from whatever source and finally the weight of the law must be brought to bear on those who plan such terror attacks - by whatever means...

You need to refine and narrow your question considerably. The way it's phrased, it can lead to endless confusion and speculation about what you really meant.

We simply cannot keep watch and control over all terrorists. We have no way to even begin to determine who might and who might not be a terrorist, and limiting our own freedoms and liberties as the Bush Administration will not change that fact.

But again: you need to clearly define and express your inquiry. Try again.

can you watch or control the weather - when you can do that then you can control terrorists -- remember they are not in a hurry like you guys are. They tried in 93 had partial success at WTC - it took almost 10 years for them to have the success they wanted on 911 --

I don't think so. Our job is not to be afraid of "terrorists". They use these types of tactics to frighten the masses into coersion because they lack the might to effect a head-on military conflict. Instead of attacking military targets, their goals are to frighten women and children, and effect policy in that manner. Our job is to remember that we are from the land of the free and the home of the brave. Let's be brave enough to keep it free.

Should we or should we not what? Are you saying we should invade other countries so the world can live in peace? How about killing every human being on the planet so no one can murder anyone anymore. Kind of a Draconian policy approach, don't you think?

Most American citizens think we should but it seems that both the Republicans and the Democrats want them here.
