Why worry about it? I think that when you are really ready to deal with it the interest will be there whether you want it or not. Your current lack of interest is your brains way of letting you know that it isn't ready, willing or able to deal with all the crap that goes along with relationships yet. If you try to force it before you are really ready it won't work out well anyway because your brain will still be running the show and you won't be invested emotionally, you'll still be in protection mode, and you know very well that no relationship is going anywhere that way. Be patient with yourself, you'll get there. In the meantime, enjoy the peace and quiet and lack of stress! Good luck!

BE interested in dating first, instead of just starting to get interested. Then, figure out exactly what you want. Go where there are likely partners who might have that for you. Settle for have of what you wanted. Be nice to each other. Or, maybe become a massage therapist, travel around learning new things at various retreats and conferences. You might meet somebody nice that way. Or maybe some jerks.

I'm having a similar problem in my 30's. I'm thinking about joining Its Just Lunch or an Internet dating thing. Do you have any hobbies?
