In Windows XP you can right click the folder, click Send To and select Compressed (Zip Files)
You can also download a trial version of WinZip (www.winzip.com)

hello kate,,
right click on the foldr u want to zip, and u can see a send to link there,,, where in u see compressed or zip folder, click it and u will be able to zip it,,
if u are using any softwares like, winzip or win-rar,,
u will find a link that says add to winrar files or something,, when u right click on the folder,,,
guess this shud be enough to solve ur problem,,,

before doing zip, you need install win zip on your PC. then only you can able to do zip any folder or file by right clicking folder or file and choose add to win zip or any other command based on you OS in your PC.

If you are using XP. Then right click on the folder. Then select send to > Compressed (zipped)filder

Easy, in windows xp it is a doddle.
Right click open new
open compressed folder option
Drag your file into the new folder
If I can do it any one can.
Get Zipping

download winzip from download.com and then read the help file what you do is create a zip of the entire folder and then when you do extract it extracts the folder to any location you choose

If you have XP; Just right clk it and choose "Send To"
Then choose "Compressed (.zip) folder
A .zip folder will be created in the folder you are in.
To UNzip the folder; dbl clk it. (or right clk it and choose your option)
If you don't have XP; go to www.winzip.com and download the free Winzip program. It has instructions.

You should have installed any archiver (WinZip, WinRar ...). Then right click the folder and choose the option to archive the folder ( such is "Add to archive ..." or alike)
