Everytime I log on to my computer a video add pops up from Popcorn.net telling me my 3 day trial has ended and the ONLY to quit receiving this notifier is to purchase a license or 30 day something for $29.95. It states that whoever downloaded it doesn't matter, the administrater of my computer is responsible for payment. I can't remove it from my programs - I've deleted temp files and cookies to no avail. Please help!

I've tried the control panel add/remove programs - that doesn't work either. I'll try some of the answers and let you know. Thanks.

I'm assuming you are using Windows XP.

Click on Start; then Settings; then Control Panel; then Add/Remove Programs. Whatever this program is should appear in the list. Just click on add/remove on the right hand side on the same line as the program you want to remove.

I am so glad you are asking this question as I have the same problem. I hit control, alt and delete at the same time and then I hit the task bar and choose notifier and hit yes to stop it but it still comes back again, seems like every half hour or so. It seems my husband was looking at porn and that is how this started. I am going to study all these answers and try to get rid of it as no one has been able to get it off. It is so annoying and that awful music. Good luck.

Got to My computer then go to control panel then click add remove preorams and look for the file or whatever that thing is, it can also be a virus meaning you need AVG Free http://grisoft.com and use that scanner and delete all your viruses.

start > run
type regedit
click OK
the registry editor opens.
Go to Edit > Find
Type popcorn
click find next

The editor will stop on the entries containing popcorn
so, select the entry , highlighted in blue color, and press delete on your keyboard. Confirm OK to delete.

Again press F3 to go to next entry of popcorn in your registry.

At the end, you will get a message that it has finished searching throughout registry.
Then close the registry.

Go to C:\program files\popcorn
delete the folder.

That should take the popcorn out of your computer

you can find this in in sanjay blog.
