Thanks for the input. I'd thought Lion King might be too young but maybe I'm thinking Disney.

Yeah - I think Lion King is a good choice. It's not the story that makes that musical - it's the spectacle. It's a WHOLE lot more than just people on stage; there're intricate masks and puppets, but not "kidsy" puppets.

Beauty and the Beast is one of my favorites. If you like the movie, you'll love the musical, no matter what age.

The Lion King, I think is the best choice of someone whose 12 years old.... anything else may too young or too old for them..

Unless they still have the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe out somewhere?!?!?

Broadway is what the people in the UK call "Theatre"
And Theater (US) is called the "Cinema" in the uk... for those confused.

How about taking you 12 year old to see Hairspray or the lion king or beauty and the beast. it your 12 year old a female or male.
