Never heard that term, but it probably means statistics used to measure the quality of a process - usually manufacturing.

in terms of statistics, it is a category or other grouping that is not number oriented. i.e. grouping shirts in an inventory by color or size (S, M) would be qualitative (color, size is a quality). The alternative is quantitative which is number oriented, like counting things.

what is qualititative? let me give you a qualititative answer: LOTS!!!

quantitative means something which can clearly be counted... like if you asked how many things are qualitative and someone replied 42... that would be a quantitative answer.

qualitative answers are descriptors. they describe characteristics of the item/answer in question, but they are non numerical in nature.

its to do with quality or qualities of something e.g. a quantitative survey would be concerned purely with numbers (i.e. quantity) of questions asked/answered but QUALITATIVE is more concerned with more descriptive answers or outcomes (i.e. the QUALITY or QUALITIES)
