First the Washington Post and now the NY Times agree that it was the Democratic operative, Armitage, that released the CIA Valerie Plame identity. It is confirmed now that Wilson was a total liar in his report published in the NY Times, in his own statements before Congress, in his own cover up of his wife's complaisance in it all. So for more than a year the DNC knew and was part in parcel in a lie to discredit the Bush Administration. The liberal press carried the water for the DNC in this smear. Millions of voters were duped.

Where is the Media and Journalism outrage? Could it be it is missing because they were complaisant? Did they keep the lie going in editorial after editorial and reporting by ommission because of politics?

After hundreds maybe thousands of editorials of the negative, do 2 editorials in the positive undo the lie?

dba_gregg proves my point. After a year of propaganda the truth is twisted, turned upside down, and inside out.
Scooter Libby is being proscuted for lieing to an FBI agent and had absolutely nothing to do with outing Mrs Plame. He was a stupid frightened man who didn`t know the origin of the Armitage DNC lies and feared he just might be the innocent origin so he lied about when he first heard about Ms Plames CIA connection. As it turned out he was totally innocent of that as it was all a lie by Armitage and Wilson and probably Ms Plame herself.
Scott never lied, he told what he knew.
No one in the Bush Administration tried to out or punish Wilson and his wife. Its final.

Media under reported or didn't bother reporting because it simply didn't push their agenda of making current administration look stupid. They don't mind holding a trial by the media if it was to crucify a member of the Bush admin but to them it's no longer "news" if it was done by member of the DNC.

It may have very well have been a non-story if Bush had come clean from day one, but unfortunately for Republicans, they started lying and covering things up. Bush said that nobody wants to know more than him who was the leak, but then he didn't bother to find out who it was. Bush said that anyone involved in talking about Valerie Plame to reporters would be fired, but he lied about that also. Scott McClellan, speaking on behalf of Bush said that neither Karl Rover or Scooter Libby discussed valerie plame with Reporters (also a lie) and finally Scooter Libby is in Jail awaiting a FELONY trial for lying to investigators.

So I guess when you try to cover up something slightly embarassing with mountains of lies, the media is less kind to you. Remember Clinton?

--------Additional Comments---------
HELLO! Vice President Cheney's Chief of Staff not a stupid man. He held a very high-ranking position in the US government. Now he is awaiting a TRIAL for FELONY OBSTRUCTION. A very serious crime. Like I said, it became a problem when they all started LYING. If anyone is owed an apology it is the American people for the CONSTANT LIES.

McClellan gave reporters a personal gaurantee that he spoke to both Rove and Libby and that they both told him they were not involved in any way with talking to reporters about Valerie Plame. According to you then Karl Rove lied also and McClellan is the one telling the truth? Ok. I'll buy that.

No one cares. Sorry. Someone leaking a CIA operative and more than likely trying to cover it up means nothing in the grander scale of things. If you show me the yellowcake, then I'll apologize for being wrong. Until then, present an important issue.

P.S. Didn't this happen 1-2 weeks ago? Get over it.
