I saw an ad on TV for some collectors items "containing silver salvaged from the World Trade Center valuts". I'm not even sure that the movies out now aren't just shamelessly exploiting the situation. What should we do? (Of course there will be different opinions.)

Everyone connected with the media and motion pictures seems to be cashing in on this tragedy. It makes me sick. We are not five years removed from the event and there has been no less than 7 films and television specials made already. The real problem stems from the fact that we are no closer to finding a solution to the problem than we were were on that day.

I think it's discussing that the almighty dollar always has to rear it's ugly head every time something like this happens.

What bothers me so much is the movie about flight 93. How in the world do they know what happened on that flight or what was said or how the events unfolded. It's a travesty. I would never support any of these films.

I am boycotting the movies. I didn't know there were 9/11 souvenirs, but I'll boycott them as well. The only exception was the made for TV documentary a few years ago hosted by Robert DeNiro, which I found to be very respectful and dignified on behalf of the survivors, as well as the families of those who died.

I think any movie glorifying any tragedy is disgusting. However, should 9/11 have special treatment different from any other tragedy? Tsunami and Titanic included. Remember, in a capitalist country the name of the game is "shameless exploitation". 9/11 holds no special reverence above anything else when it comes to making a buck, why should it? Sorry, but thems the breaks. Capitalism rules here in the US of A, and so does the almighty buck..get over it.

Yeah, those coins are shameful. So, too, will be the crockudrama on ABC, "The Path to 9/11."

I don't intend to partake of any of it myself. My girlfriend wants to see "World Trade Center", but I'm really not interested. I don't have to see the story retold through a director's eyes.
