Fall is the best time and in the spring you will have leeks but hurry and do it before the ground freezes

Sow seeds in compost in greenhouse about mid March and plant out when the risk of frost has gone and the soil is warm

sow seeds in january in greenhouse or pots on window sill.
plant seedlings out in mid-may.
