J.K. Rowling has said that she plans to continue writing. She is already writing another book, but it is intended for younger children than the Harry Potter series. She has also said that she may create a book that would include information that never made it into the Harry Potter books. Her official website includes some information like this in the Extras section. She has written background information on several characters that couldn't fit into the books and even gives an example of a scene involving Draco and Theodore Nott and their fathers that she tried to put into two of the movies.

First off the question was what do you think not what you would do which is what half these people have wrote. I personally believe that she will continue to write being as how she has really only wrote ONE good series and it has occupied her life for the past 9 or so years. If she dosent come back with a new series that is at least as good as the last then she will be a one hit wonder.

she plans to continue writing. Rowling declared, in a recent interview, that she will most likely not use a pen name as the press would quickly discover her true identity.

I hope she comes up with something even better than Harry Potter and that alone was pretty amazing!

Harry dies in the 7th book.

Fans call for his resurrection.

Then JKR has to write the 8th book, something like
"Harry Potter : The Return of The Wizard"

Just like when Holmes died and Conan Doyle had to do the same.

Hopefully, write another series. Most authors like to continue writing because that is their life.

I'm all for retiring. She's made more than enough to support herself and for her children to live on for the rest of their lives. I think they're set.

Though if she kills Ron off, I might change my mind :D
