prices arent going to down anytime soon. they just released the video less than a year ago and i havent heard anything about new one in the works. I say go for it man! join the cool people lol

You should wait until at least SEPTEMBER 12th. Apple is going to have a big conference, and may announce some new iPod models.
Most people are predicting new nano models, made with metal cases and different colors (like the old ipod minis). Others are predicting a jump in storage space on the videos, from 30-60 to 40-80 GB.
So yeah, I'd wait until at least then.

Indeed, there will be an Apple convention soon and they'll probably introduce something new then, especially with the upcoming holiday season and Microsoft's introduction of their own player, the Zune in the near future. There have also been rumours that the nano will jump in memory from 4GB to 8GB and come in colours that are similar to those of the mini. So yeah, I'd definitely recommend at least waiting till the convention's over.

I waited until the Nano was about $150. I love it!!!!!! It totally was worth it and I wish I had got it earlier!!!! I use it everyday and I have discovered so many new music groups and re-listened to older songs I haven't heard in a while. I say go for it - don't wait.

Wait. They'll probably introduce the next generation soon and prices will go down on the Nano and 30MB.

i dunno. i have a video ipod and love it. i cant live without it. put i heard there will be a new video ipod wit a bigger screen....for wat? why would u want a big screen?
