Some time if I put the shift on P, the car doesn't start.

Replace the safety switch in the shifter and you will be set.

Looks like all to be said has been said. I agree with most except Kia beeing a bad car. News to me! Every brand of autos and trucks have problem children every now and then. Its funny to tell someone to throw away thier car because, but not very practical. Autos can be treated well or mistreated badly. It will effect the next owner. How can you blame the car when the dealership decided to zero the odometer. Hang in there, check the neutral safety switch, cause you car is just fine. Goodluck

The company "Kia" makes terrible cars. We just got done dealing with them on an issue regarding odometer mileage. When we took our car in for service, the service department zeroed out the miles. So when we traded it in for a newer car (Ford), the people who bought it got the vehicle with the incorrect mileage. Thus, screwing up the warranty for a used car...NEVER BUY A KIA!!!!!!!

the neutral safety switch is probably going bad. it's located on the column near the base and on the top side.

Sounds like the drive shaft to me!! Take it in and have it looked at! it doent cost anything to have them look at it and make a quote!! Good luck and god bless!

theres a switch that runs off ur shifter that gos to ur streering colum that needs to be fixed bring it to a machanic
