wash the damsons then place a layer of them in an air tight jar. Put lots of sugar over them and repeat until all damsons are used up. Make sure jar is air tight and leave for day. A syrup should then have formed. Next pour the cheapest vodka or gin over them, (from Aldi, Lidl or Netto) fill to top of jar. Screw top on tightly and leave until Christmas. You will have a very warming fruity drink to give to your friends and family. Enjoy!!

4. pour kilo bag of granulated sugar over damsons
5. Fill container to 1 cm below top with Gin. Stir sugar gently for few mins.
6. For the next few days stir at frequent intervals until all sugar is dissolved.
7. Store in a warm cupboard (Airing cupboard is too warm) for 3 - 4 months.

well you could try juggling with them, when you get bored with that
you could make some jam, or a pie, with some blackbirds, 4 and 20 to be exact.

Make jam you do not have enough to do much else and pies are too tart or bitter.
