call the second side x, then

first side = x + 2
second side = x
third side = x + 3

perimeter = first + second + third
... = (x + 2) + x + (x + 3)
... = 3x + 5

3x + 5 = 59
3x = 54
x = 18

third side = x + 3 = 18 + 3 = 21

59 = (2 + x) + x + (3 + x)

59 = 5 + 3x

3x = 54

x = 18

So the third side is (3 + 18) = 21 ft!

Data:
P=59 ft
One side = 2ft + sencond side
third side = 3ft + second side
Let the second side equal x.

1st=2+x
3rd=3+x

P =1st side + 2nd side + 3rd side
59 =2+x + x + 3 + x
59 =5+3x
59-5=5-5+3x
54=3x
54/3=3x/3
x=18

2nd side is 18ft but since you want the 3rd side u go back to the 3rd side formula which was 3rd = 3ft + 2nd side

3rd side = 3ft + 2nd side
3rd side = 3ft + 18
3rd side = 21ft

The 3rd side is 21 feet.

Solve the following 3 eqs simultaneously:

a+b+c = 59
a = b+2
c = b+3

These are the math equivalent of your statment

Doesn't look too hard, but I don't do arithmetic here....!
