I'm doing anthropological research for a school report. For those of you who have actually been to Spain and Italy, or live there, by your estimates, how tall would you say the average man is there? Just from your observation, what would you say their average height is? You can answer in centimters, or in feet. Either one will be fine. But please, only answer the question if you seriously know what you are talking about, preferably from experience. Quantify your answer though please. Don't just say "they are short", or something like that. I want numbers. Would you say they were 5'8, 5'10, 5'6, or what exactly?

I would like to emphasize that this question is reserved for people who have actually seen Spain or Italy. I want to know, from your personal experience, how tall people were. And please estimate with numbers. Don't just tell me they were short or tall.

Spain - Males 5 foot 8.2 inches
Females 5 foot 3.3 inches
Italy - Males 5 foot 8.7 inches
Females 5 foot 5.4 inches

Average in Spain is 6'. I am 5'9" and when I go there I am shorter than most man. Why do you think Spain has so many players in the NBA? Also all their tennis players are around 6'2" While Italians are around 5'10".

North West Italy: Males are a standard 5'9'' average, but I noticed that the teenage boys and girls give the impression that they will all be close to 5' 10'' in five years time..........

I am 5'10
but 5'6 is short
I would give an Average of 5'8
But this is in the USA
We have a lot of hormones in our food here.
