because they are prejudice and even some racist. Like dumbo with the crows acting like ignorant black people stereotypes from the past or the fact that with all the diffrent princess they had there has never been a black princess or african american based cartoons. I refuse to let my daughter watch them, but I use to love the HBO happily everafter stories where they made all different nationality cartoons. Their whole premise was to make all children feel special. I also like all the different African American childrens books with stories from africa and slave times for children to learn history and learn the beauty within themselves. Am I'm going overboard or does any other african americans agree with me.

You people are stupid if think I'M RACIST!!! The cartoons clearly give no regard to black people and have no positive black images. If you think that's okay then you're racist.

You know I expected some people to call me racist and post idioti remarks. But i've noticed that everyone calling me out of my name or being hateful are not black people. Do you know what it's like being a child and never seeing anyone like yourself on TV and wondering why? Do you? I didn't think so. If you read the whole question i posted you would see the reason why I feel this way. I didn't insult any white people and i didn't say anything negative about white people. I feel that there is nothing wrong with my child seeing something positive about someone in a cartoon that looks like her.

Hey, whitey here, and I actually agree with you. I argue with people all the time about this, in regards to Disney's clandestine racism. I mean, look at Song of the South, no subtly there...and I too loved those HBO stories.

I agree completely with you. People may feel you're being racist or prejudice, but something is wrong with a company that has been making movies as long as disney has and has put in Asian, Native American, and two Middle Eastern characters, but cannot find room for one black face. That is a problem

As a black parent of teenagers I felt it was very important for my children to view and read things that were considered to be prejudiced.Preparing your children on how to deal with racism is more important rather than shielding them from it.Let your daughter watch Pocahontas,Disney is not all bad.

I don't have any children but if I did, they would not watch Disney...actually, they would watch TV at all.

TV/media/entertainment has become a major player in the downfall of many blacks. None of that for my children; they will have plenty of books that portray positive images of blacks.

your are one of the most ignorant people, most classic fairytales were written in Europe by europeans where there are castles and legends, so why would you have a problem with them being white? aladdin wasn't white, either was mulan, are you kidding about the crows? there not black people! when i was little i loved that movie and NEVER thought of them as black people, and i don't like those HBO cartoons because there are NO white people!?! thats not right, your just trying to find racisim in innocent cartoons, get over it, i feel bad for you children, you keep feeding them the whole slavery bit "we had it so hard and we still do"

I think you're taking entertainment to seriously. they only know its racists if they are told its racists. Sounds like youre aiming for that goal. please dont do that. children are so innocent until an adult steps in and ruins it
