A performance in a Olypic competition consist of two scores, technical merit and artistic performance. T compute a person's final score, the artistic score is multiplied by 4, and the technical score is multiplied by 6. Each of the individual scores can range fro 0 to 10.

B. can a person score lower in technical merit than another competitor but still end up with greater overall score? if it is possible, give anexample, and if it's not, show why not?

C. draw an x andy axis, where the x is technical score and the y axis is the artistic score.
then draw a graoh that represents all the x and y values that lead to a score of 80.

D. locate on ur graaph all the x and y values that represents scores higher than 80, but with lower technical merit scores than someone who scoerd 80????

Look at the extremes:
t2=10 a2=0 a1=10 what is t1?
40+6t1>0+60
t1=20/6 that works

C 6x+4y=80 0 6x+4y=80

y=-3/2x+40/3 then plot the line for the limits as described.

Any point to the right of the line represents higher than 80.

Because of the limits, it would form part of a triangle with a square vertex at x=10, y=10 a perfect score. Since 40/3 is greater than 10, the graph is truncated at y=10. The lower part is complete since the x intercept is 80/9.

D Shade the area of the truncated triangle where y>x. This is a line that is 45 degrees passing through the points 10,10 and 0,0, which intersects the original line. All points above the line while still in the triangle have y>x.
