Definitely Col. Blake on MASH, and also on Buffy The Vampire Slayer when she had to kill Angel with the sword to save the world. That was sexy and tragic all at the same time.
Regarding Steve Irwin, he always said that he would expect to have his death aired on TV because he knew it would be on film killed by an animal, although I think he assumed it would be a Crocodile. BUT I read that his manager will personally destroy the tape once the cops are done with it. That he had watched it once and could hardly stand it.

I surely shed some tears over Warrick Borwn's loss of existence on CSI final evening. With him and Gil Grissom leaving and Laurence Fishbourne coming in, I do exactly no longer think of the coach will final after this season.

Daphne in Neighbours all those years ago. 'I love you too Clarky' It is the first television death I remember watching and it was the talk on the playground all the next week!
Tommy Cooper was pretty sad too, I remember my aunt shreiking at the tv when he collasped on stage and my Grandad saying 'its all an act'. How wrong he was!

I was surprised when Libby died on Lost. It was so sudden. I had read spoilers that said she would die along with ana Lucia but it was a shock to me. Within instance of when Ana Lucia died Libby was shot as well.
