My friend and I worked at the same place. When we both left she said she wanted nothing to do with him and that she wanted to close that chapter in her life. Well, I found out (heard the conversations and saw the emails with my own eyes) about a month after we both left that she was begging him for her job back, but she was telling me something different. She recently got married and she has begun emailing him pictures of the wedding, etc..... I wanted to know if this is just a lie or a betrayal of friendship. I was in her wedding and naturally I would ask her to be in mine, but I want to know that the people who are standing beside me care about me and can be honest with me. Mind you she is telling her new husband whom she claims to love the same thing. I just feel like if you love him and you would like to him you couldn't care anything about me or our friendship.

If I'm understanding your question correctly you think that she is betraying you by wanting the job back? If so, I wouldn't think of it as a betrayal at all. She may have felt one way when you left and now because of financial reasons, or just because she may not be able to find another job she likes, she is wanting that one back. She may feel that you will feel like she is betraying you though if she tells you that she really wants the job back after you and she quit together. I think that she may just be embarrassed about the situation as well. If it is really bothering you, then try telling her that you have heard that she is trying to get her old job back. But make sure you are supportive, because there may be things going on financially or personally that you don't know about.
