i really want me nipple pierced but been told it wrecks can anyone shed some light

Letme put it this way.
My NAN had it done when she was 64...as well as her belly button TWICE. I know, sickening.
She said it was fine, hasnt regretted it, still loves it.
Delayed mid-life crisis me thinks. =)

Pain is a highly personal thing...If it's performed correctly, the procedure is quick and shouldn't feel much worse than a pinch...for women that is!!! The female body is more apt at handling pain than the male body is, so as far as piercing goes, the ladies have it made!! women tend to heal just a little quicker, too! Be sure you check the qualifications and experience of your piercer before you let them do ANYTHING!!!

Well, it doesn't affect your nipple in anyway apart from you having a ring or something else coming out of it, it might hurt for a little while but nothing to worry about really.

it hurts. and if it is hit it can bleed or tear. which will hurt tremendously, a friend passed out for a few seconds at afestival when his was hit. but otherwise it is just like an erect nipple most of the time.

IT HURTS FOR A FEW MINUTES AND CAN BE SORE FOR A WHILE BUT YOU ALSO RUN THE RISK OF GETTING PERMANENT NERVE DAMAGE TO YOUR NIPPLE. IMAGINE NOT BEING ABLE TO FEEL IT EVER?

i had both mine done twice!! one horizontal bar and one vertical bar, my advice is go to a place where they freeze it, make sure its kept clean and yes it hurts but its only for a second, then u feel really proud of yourself for doin it... lol... anyway, just get it done... i have took mine out now coz i had a baby. it will hurt after but just remember it wont hurt forever!!! go 4 it.... be brave!!!

i know im a guy, but i got mine done, it did hurt at 1st. Buts thats the norm. I know abt 4 girls who have it done, and they all love it.

well, in itself it does not hurt, but if you are into jogging or any other strenuous physical activity that will make you sweat, think twice before doing it, it can hurt as hell and can get infected.
