I have been dating outside of my race since i was 16, i have 2 bi-racial children and , what i need to know is why is it so hard for people to accept that you cant help who you love , reguardless of there skin color.
I think that people steriotype the blk/wht thing. I think that people should watch and learn from there children , who dont see color. why should we? I DONT , I LOVE ALL GOD"S PEOPLE....

I know what you are going through, my husband and I are of a different race. We have and still get those "why is she with him?" or so "he went to a white woman?" Some ppl don't look at the heart of the person, all they see is color, it is society, or the way they were raised, I am proud of my husband for who he is, not the color of his skin. We hold hands and kiss in public, for some that is offensive, we are all human whether of race, religion, sexuality, or beliefs, judging someone because of these "issues" is wrong and childish. and we should learn something from a child, because they donot see color either, they see the heart in all of us.

Well first off, I am glad that you are a small but growing percent of the american population that can see beyond color and can love someone for who they are. I am a product of interracial dating, My mom is white and my dad is asian. When they first go together in the late 70's interracial dating was still not that accepted and I feel that today it is still that way to an extent due to the older generations around us. Now, for those of us that have grown up in the last quarter of the 20th century and into the 21st century, we are more tolerant of it because we have grown up with a more diverse group of friends. I would like to hope that in 10-20 years from now interracial dating will be something that is normal. As of the 200 0 US census there were 7 million people who were of 2 or more races. That may seem like a big number to some, but with a population of close to 300 million now it is a very small percentage. And when you consider that most people of two or more races live mostly in the LA, SF Bay Area, Hawai'i, NY, and Miami regions, we can being to see why interracial dating is still hard to deal with. With it not being a common thing to see everywhere, it will not be something accepted. Also, look at Hollywood, the only interracial dating they show on TV is usually between black and white and that in itself is very rare. And there's more I could go on about but I have to get to class soon...

Thank you!!! I sooo agree. I'm white and married a white man but I don't see anything wrong with being with the one you love. To tall you the truth I don't see races. I just see 1 human race and I think you should give yourself a pat on the back. If there were more accepting people like you in this world, it would be a much better place!!!! I've got to agree with you. People base way too much on someone's color, and children see things so much more clear. My son is mixed, and one time when he was asked if he's black or white, he said "I'm brown, just like my mom and dad are both brown"... That's what it all comes down to, we're all just different shades of browns...

I have 2 mixed kids as well. You just need to learn to not sweat the small stuff. If you get looks so what. Look back and smile.

il take blood from a black person, then from an asian, then african, then white person, then australian
AND MIX ALL BLOOD SAMPLES IN ONE CONTAINER
and then il ask them to find out stupid silly guys which blood is whose is it the blcak ones or the white ones blood

no longer inevitably, lol it is referred to as a date, i think of because of the fact they set a date jointly on which they are gonna pass out. i think of distinctive human beings do countless issues on their dates.
