I need to clean the rack and the back wall of the dishwasher as it has a lot of build up due to years of using gel based detergents.

sometimes there are little plastic clips on the metal slide rails that allow you to disconnect the rack from the slides. i'm not a professional or anything, but see if there are clips that just unhook. Becareful not to break them if there are, otherwise you'll be calling a repairman for a little peice of plastic.

Maybe ask someone else around to look at it who maybe a little handy

good luck

Some don't come out...but the ones that do just take a little encouraging...

...pull the tray fully out and gently lift the front, now pull a bit more. If it can come out, it will. Don't yank it or try to force it out. Effectively by lifting it you are lifting the tray off its runners.

Unfortunately though, like I mentioned before, they don't always come out.

I agree with Jimbo, it's the white plastic clips. Press them on the top and bottom.
