You should ovulate approx 2 weeks from the day you start your period, not the day you end. So if you had sex two days after your period, and then ovulated 5 days later, it is possible to get pregnant. Every woman's cycle is different though, some ovulate right after their period sometimes right before as I seem to do. If you could get pregnant any day of the month, there would be no need for ovulation tests in the store. Read the instructions on those, it clearly says there are 3 fertile days in a month. If you do not wish to have a baby then use protection or b/c don't try and calculate your schedule it's not a good idea. You cannot get pregnant while you are on your period, not to say that if you have sex while you're on your period that you won't get pregnant soon after you come off your period. But the menstraul cycle is meant to flush out the un fertilzed egg and uteral lining started for a baby that was not conceived, so there would be no egg in there to fertilize.
