Extend your arms straight out....(like your stopping a bus) and bend your fingers...my guitar teacher taught me that and it works the pinky very well..

Sure - start on the low E string and individually fret and play frets 1,2,3 and 4. Skip to the A string and fret 2,3,4 and 1. Next , skip to the D string and fret 3,4,1 and 2. Follow the pattern to the high E string (where you should be at fretting 2,3,4 and 1) then slide up 1 fret and work your way back to the low E string again following the same pattern structure. Work your way up to the octave (12th fret) and try working your way back down the fretboard again. Start slow and make sure each note is played cleanly - then once you're used to the pattern let 'er rip.

Work your fingers up and down the fretboard like your doing mini solos. Or start in the seventh fret, and lay one finger down plucking the string when your finger has laid down. Do that for each finger. You do that for each string. Walk down the fretboard with your fingers. Then walk back up the fretboard with your fingers. Easy...

Take rubber bands, wrap around fingers, do little "leg lifts" with your fingers. The bands provide a nice resistance.

I count number to myself or use a metronome. i have been taking area in 40 5 years or more desirable. .So my dexterity is truly sturdy. yet years in the past, I were given so annoyed contained in the starting up.. What i might want to recommend is interpreting out of clarinet books or guitar books. it truly is how I more suitable my taking area in skills.. workouts might want to be senseless too.. have relaxing with it.

hammer up and down every string moving down the fret board one fret at a time until say fret twelve then go backwards and use different finger combinations each time this will help your speed.

Sqeeze a tennis ball,move it out as far as you can to tips and squeeze then mid then near palm.Great for giving strength to hammer and really make them notes clear.
