I would ask him if he means 10 weeks since conception or 10 weeks since ovulation. Also, know that you will get varying counts from everyone throughout your pregnancy (I think I had been given 3 different due dates). You keep track of what YOU know - why? Its your body, your baby, and seriously you will be the one to know when the baby is coming. Good luck!

You didn't get pregnant until two weeks after your last period. Two weeks won't really matter in the long run. You could end up having the baby "early" or "late" or "right on time". I say this in " " marks because I can't think of a single baby that arrived EXACTLY 9 MONTHS to the moment of conception. Once baby is done, he/she will come out and greet the world. Stop obsessing over the time passed, and start looking forward to the things that are to come.

Determining the exact age of the baby is difficult without an ultrasound, but it can be confusing anyway. You don't count the first week of your pregnancy. Plus, you can become pregnant a few days after you have sex. The good news is, that if the doctor has confirmed your pregnancy you will be a mom soon. Maybe your baby will just come two weeks "early" like mine did! (My doctor's math was two weeks off too). Congrats!

My last period was June 15th and all the charts say I am 12 weeks. I won't know for sure until my ultrasound on the 19th. With my first child, they changed her due date 4 times. The ultrasound will tell how far you are by the size of the fetus. they don't call it PRACTICING medicine for nothing. Hang in there.

It has been 12 weeks since your last period, but you don't ovulate till 2 weeks after that. Any where you go the information that you are 12 weeks is including the 2 weeks before you ovulated (that is the normal way to calculate it) Your doctor just wasn't including those 1st two weeks.

It's possible that the doctor will change his mind as your pregency progresses. They base it on weight gain, measurements and such, but as you grow, things will change. I was told the same thing with both of mine and as time went on, the due date I came up with was what the doctors finally came to be the time I was 8 months pregnant. All you need to concentrate on now is having a healty baby and keeping yourself healty. Don't worry, in the long run, you are probably more accurate than the doctor! Congrats!!!! Best Wishes Hon.

yeah, if your last period was in june you should be about 12 weeks. Have the doctor do an ultrasound to get the right dates.

According to online...
On August 31, You were 11 wks 2days

The fact is when you're in your 11th week of pregnancy, you are 10 weeks pregnant! During the week you start your period, you are in your first week of pregnancy, but you have not yet completed any weeks so you are zero weeks pregnant.

Congrats though.. Due: March 20
