Most parents have two or more names picked out for each gender. Do you know what else you might have been named? Do you like what they named you, or would you have picked one of the other ones if you had a choice?

Raquel Renee
Cuatro de julio (4th of july)
Sparkle Marie (that would have put me on the pole for sure)
I would have liked Raquel Renee but my dad didn'k like it and 1 was born 22 days after 4th of july so that outed the other 2. I did get Marie as a middle name i use it as a first sometimes.

My name is Rene, but it could have been Mary Catherine (hi, I'm Catholic) or Kilee, but my grandfather decided it would be Rene because it's a family name, even though we're Italian and Rene is French...and my parents were retarded hippies and spelled my name the boy way instead of the girl way.

If I had been a boy it would have been Paul Joseph, Jr.

I hate my name. I'd almost prefer Mary Catherine.

My parents were going to name me Margaret Mae and call me "Maggie Mae"... You know, as a variation of Rod Stewarts' "Maggie May"! LOL The reason for the spelling of Mae is because it's my mom's middle name.

I'm so glad they chose the name I have now instead of Maggie Mae!

Well, they almost named my sister Susan, then my mom wanted to name her "Ann Marie" but the show "That Girl," with Marlow Thomas was on the air then and her character was named that. So my mom gave my sister another name.

When I was young I watched Olga Korbit in the Olympics. I said out loud "Olga has to be the ugliest girls' name ever" to which my mother replied - "Well then, I guess it's a good thing your father stopped me". She had actually wanted to name me Olga! I ran over and hugged my dad something fierce!

My mom always had my name picked out and had no others in mind. I did have another name for my child, but my ex couldn't pronounce it, lol, so I'm still waiting for someone to name their daughter my favorite name!
