Sounds like you are losing fat mass but gaining muscle mass. Just make sure you are giving your all during the exercise routines, no pain no gain, and your weight will eventually drop.

Well, you can’t expect to lose like 2 pant sizes within a month. It takes time to actually see results.

I also am overweight and I been going to the gym 4 days out of the week, working out over 2 hours, close to 3 hours every time I’m in the gym. I also watch what I eat, I don’t starve myself or anything like that, but I cut out soda, most of fast foods, I still go out and it every one day out of two weeks though.

Anyways, I have not yet seen result myself, but I’m waiting for 3 months of exercise and dieting, and if then I don’t see results, then sometimes is wrong. I know how you feel, you are beating yourself with exercising and dieting and you’re pretty much killing yourself to see results, which I’m doing as well. I get frustrated every now and then, ‘cause I want to see actual results, but I have to wait and just keep doing what I’m doing and you should do the same. In do time you will be seeing some results but for now, it’s going to seem like you’re just working out without actually helping out your body.

This is what I do, and I have yet to see results hah.

I do 40+ minutes on the elliptical, then about an one hour and 30 minutes of weights, well, machines that help some of your body parts. Then, I go in to a sauna for 15 minutes or so. I been doing this for close to a month now, and I have not seen any results yet, which really, really sucks, but I know that I have keep on doing what I’m doing for months to come.

Well, hope I was helpful, if not, well at least I tried.

Maybe you should consider changing things up a little. Muscle burns more fat than aerobic activity alone; maybe you should consider doing some weight work 2-3 times a week.
Also, reassess your diet - maybe you're still taking in too much sugar (bread, rice and yes, even fruits have a lot of sugars).

Worst case, maybe you should visit a personal trainer in your area or a registered dietitian and see what they recommend.

If you are truly doing moderate cardio exercise for 1 hour every day, then I would try adding some resistance training (use free weights) 3 times a week to your cardio workouts.

Then, look to your diet as the culprit. First, you have to eat enough calories to lose weight! Make sure you get at least 1,200 calories per day. Aim for 1,400 daily.

Next, your diet should consist of lean protein, whole grains, fruits & vegetables. Eating 1,400 calories of ice cream per day and nothing else won't do your body a bit of good!

I have had a similar problem, and I believe that although you are exercising you might need to reevaluate your diet. try cutting out foods with excess sugar, and increasing your veggies and fruits. also, make sure your goal for losing weight is reasonable. If you are trying to lose 40 lbs your goal should span over a year period or more, otherwise you might gain it all back anyway! good luck!

You can make a big difference by watching your diet.

for example:

eat breakfast -- always

watch your salt intake...especially the salt content of snacks

eat at the right times...not too little that you'll crave the in between meals, not too much that you'll stretch out your stomach.

watch your sugar intake. lessen the sugar in what ever you drink (sodas, coffee). it may taste bland at first, but as you get used to it--it won't be so.

try not to eat too late at night...try to stop eating anything by 8:30 at night and see if that makes a difference

tae bo is a good exercise if you do it correctly with the right intensity (if you're sweating, you're doing it right)

Some people (not all) think they are eating healthy and really aren't. Make a food diary and keep track of every calorie you put in your mouth. It will help.
