it depends who they are and i don't know them i usually tell them that we should get 2 know each other better before i gave them my cell or homephone #

Give your cell phone number only if you are sure this person isnt a complete raving lunatic!! It would also depend on why they wanted your number in the first place!! Cell phone is better for safety and security, if you give your home phone number it is far far easier for a person to track you down, unless you are unlisted.

That depends on who is asking for it. If it is someone that i know or wouldn't mind them calling me the i would probably give it to them if they asked. but i would give out the cell number before the home phone.

i gave my cell phone to some of my online friends...and that's after chatting with them for a long time and usually they give their number first. one exception there was this guy that i gave my number to....he's probably 65 years old...i chat with him because he was so intelligent and witty...and i want to hear his voice to confirm my suspicion that he was that old as he claimed he was 39.. i figured...i'm 31....not bad.... i doubted it though from the pictures he was sending me....anyway...he didnt want to call me....which was cool....and surprising....and yes....i haven't found a stalker yet....because i try to gauge their sincerity first as a friend and what kind of person they are before i give the numbers to them.......
