The deskbar program keeps installing and I cannot get rid of it

Avast Antivirus www.avast.com
Ad-Aware Personal www.lavasoft.com
Spybot Search and Destroy www.download.com
Download and run all of those. They should destroy whatever spyware crap is causing all your problems.

Reboot into Safe Mode (press F8 every few seconds as computer starts up until you get a menu of startup options) and run your spyware remover that way. If it still comes back, you need to disable System Restore, then go into Safe Mode and run your spyware remover, then enable System Restore again.

start/controlpanel/add/remove program/find the program delete it
