Hopefully the cover was folded by using the accordian method, during spring. If not or this is a new cover out of the box, You'll likely want help, lol. The guys in the factory are demons when it comes to whacky ways to fold them up to get them in the box.
If it's a windy day, you'll need help as well. No sense on you doing a Dorthy and Toto and landing in the next county.
If you absolutely must do this alone, then get it unfolded on the lawn, space permitting. Have it the right way up (whatever colour you want to look at for a few months if it has 2 colours) and start pulling it over the rail. At the cover edges, you'll want to fold them up and in a bit. What you're trying to do is make a boat out of the cover. Folding them up and in makes the boat hull. Keep on feeding the cover in, while make it into a boat. Slow and steady. The cover ought to be travelling by itself, across the surface of the pool and not sinking. When all of the cover is in and floating like a boat, just go round the edges and pull the" boat hull" up and over the rail and tighten the cable.
