I was in the park with my young son when he did something wrong. His black friend asked, "Are you going give him a whuppin?" His mother was so embarassed, that I said, "No, I'm going to give him a beating." She laughed, but did she get it?

um it is the same thing but some times the black people do it more viciously


u may just beat with belt, but trust me we black people have gotten switches (tree branch), iron, broom, belt buckle,

some people laugh just because they feel its socially necessary. I don't really know but yeah i think that she just laughed for the heck of it.

She probably thought you had no clue what you were talking about and they do mean the same thing sometimes I call it a spankin' or pow pow mean the same thing. :)
