Hi There,
I'll take you to a website that will give you professional infomation regarding how to learn to drive a standard transmission.
But I have to say that all people that I know and they know just learned on their own. Get to an open area and let go...
Look below, there is a website that offers direction on this method.....Hey their book and tip on everything. God Bless

Oh heck, that's easy. Just do what I did, Take the vehicle to the nearest large city, by yourself of course, and make sure there are plenty of hills where the red lights are. Then drive and roll- drive and roll, until u piss off enough people that you have the whole road to yourself and then and only then, go at your most comfortable speed. I bet you WILL learn real quick how to drive that 5 speed. OK, OK, I know this may not be the best way, but it is def the fastest way. I learned in 1 day what takes others weeks to learn. LOL

Find a friend with a stick car.
Take it to a parking lot with plenty of space, hold down the clutch put it in first, and try pulling away without using the gas pedal.
after practicing that you'll have a feel for the clutch, add gas try changing gears. Just practice.

I know the situation. No one wants to let you learn on their 5-speed b/c no one wants a messed up transmission.
Go to an auto auction and buy the cheapest 5-spd they have that runs. Learn on that. Then your $50,000 german sports car will be spared the torture.
