i turn 29 on friday and want to do something nice for myself because my boyfriend is lame and probably won't even remember it's my birthday.

i love all of your answers! there is a general feeling of a need to dump my lame boyfriend. that is what i should do for myself first and foremost and then it's party time! thanks everyone!

WELL... you are almost 30 & i have heard people say that 30 is the moment when you are truly and adult and you can no longer grasps at straws & try to act or be young anymore. I think that is BS, but i hear that alot as I watch my friends turn 30 before I do.
I would say since you think your boyfriend is going to forget, DO EVERYTHING YOU EVER WANTED TO!!! Since your birthday is on a friday, you can make it a weekend long event as long as you don't have to work. Grab your close friends & family and have a ball!!! Leave some time in for your man because he could be planning something for you and it would suck if you write him off because you thought he did not think of you at all.
Whatever you decide to do, just have fun! Today is your day and nothing is worse then a crappy birthday...

Go to the spa and enjoy yourself...spluge on a massage and a nice facial...go and get your hair and nails done.....and tell your lame boyfriend to plan something special for the evening or you will find other/alternate plans..... good luck and happy birthday!!

first thing to do is dump him. Next go sky diving or book yourself in for a day of pampering ( depending on your character. or my favorite is book your self a weekend get away with a mate. its doesn't have to be expensive.
