There's many things you can do to help you sleep. First of all, what is your bedroom like? What's in it? What do you do in it aside from sleep? You should work to make your bedroom your sanctuary, devoted only to sleep. If you have a TV in your room, move it out of there. If you have a lot of noise infiltrating the room, you could use a fan or something else to create the background "white noise". Keep the room a little cooler, which helps you fall asleep. And make sure you have dark shades on the windows, or get a sleep mask. Try to limit or cut out alcohol and caffeine consumption. Maybe go for a walk in the evening, or do some other activity that will tire you out. If you still have trouble sleeping, or wake up in the middle of the night and can't easily fall back to sleep, get out of bed. Do not lay there tossing and turning. However do not watch TV or read if they are activities that stimulate you. Keep things very mundane.

There are teas and supplements you could try as well. Chamomille tea is good for helping you relax. So is valarian root tea. Valarian root is much stronger and has a very medicinal taste, so you might want to opt for that in a capsule. You could also try taking melatonin about 1/2 hour before you go to sleep. And try to allow 8 hours for sleep. Calcium can help as well. You know the whole hot milk trick? The heat is soothing, and the calcium can help you become a bit lethargic.

These are a few tips I've picked up over the years, including during a sleep study I participated in because of my own insomnia. Sometimes certain options work better than others. But after trying some of these options, if you're still having trouble sleeping, talk to your doctor about other options. You might end up needing a short term sleep aid.

Good luck!

Hmmm...when I have trouble sleeping I concentrate on my breathing, I try to keep it slow and regulate it, before long I just fall asleep. When I was younger and could sleep with noise in the background I would put on a CD of ocean sounds or of frogs, sounds silly but it would make me feel like I was outside camping or at the cottage, not at home in my own bed.

As for your outfit, pick something you are really comfortable in. Jeans and t-shirt with flip flops or skate shoes. Wear something that you're not going to be tugging at and worrying about all day. Be yourself and you'll have a blast...Good Luck!!

do some meditation... (breathing through the diaphram exercises, oxygen to the brain and other tissues sure helps, relaxes you also and if you practise... you'll do much better in the long run) also don't eat before bed, eat more veggies and fruits.. that will help also with many reasons why you can't get a full nights sleep or even any sleep at all... also unload your mind before bed and don't force it... that only makes more irritable.

and evening primrose works wonders also it works wonders if you have PMS and menstural cramps.. so you'll be killing 2 or 3 birds with one stone.

if you can take the stuff it's an herb.

wear all black... i used to do that on my first days of school.. folks were like "ah i feel the same way man"
lmfao!

Just before going to bed, write on a piece of paper all the things that you need to do for the next day. This helps particularly if you keep waking up in the middle of the night thinking about what you need to do. Avoid caffeine and sugary foods late in the day. Stop working on computer for a least 30 minutes before going to bed, so your mind can unwind some.

As for what to wear???

Well if you have a TV in your room with timer you could just set it to turn off so you don't have the problem when you fall asleep...or just get off of the computer and start getting moving cause you need to get tired!!
For the firs day you should put the most beautiful outfit you have in your closet... the first day is almost all... I don't know your style.
